KazakhExport and Euler Hermes discuss collaborative B2B ventures in series of meetings
KazakhExport EIC and international insurance company Euler Hermes recently conducted a series of B2B meetings aimed at exploring potential joint projects.
These meetings were facilitated by a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding, designed to enhance trade between Kazakhstan and Germany. The memorandum seeks to foster collaboration, provide support, and promote trade activities. Moreover, it endeavors to strengthen bilateral ties by facilitating the exchange of best practices and information in export finance. It’s particularly important given the increasing interest of European firms in projects within Central Asia.
Discussions during the meetings held in Astana and Almaty encompassed a range of projects spanning the mining and metallurgical sectors, waste management, and the establishment of new export-driven industries in agriculture. Currently, these projects are seeking funding, procuring equipment from Germany, and obtaining insurance coverage from export credit agencies.
The visit of the German Euler Hermes delegation concluded with a workshop organized for KazakhExport. It focused on crucial aspects of export credit insurance and the provision of financial support for international endeavors.
