KazakhExport bolsters support for projects in Tajikistan

During a recent visit to Dushanbe, the delegation from KazakhExport EIC, a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, engaged in productive discussions with prominent Tajikistani banks and potential importers.

Meetings were held with Amonatbank, Dushanbe City Bank, and Orienbank, focusing on advancing existing partnerships and exploring new ventures.

Amonatbank, supported by KazakhExport financing, has facilitated 15 domestic entrepreneurial projects totaling over $23.7 million in the past three years, as highlighted in discussions between Deputy Chairman Kuanysh Mukazhanov and Amonatbank's head, Alijon Salimzoda.

Similarly, the enduring collaboration between KazakhExport and Orienbank has seen the support of projects worth approximately $17 million over the years.

Cooperation agreements were inked during the visit to bolster support for domestic companies, SMEs, and facilitate imports from Kazakhstan.

“Our collaboration with local financial institutions presents extensive prospects for exporters and importers seeking to establish contracts for the delivery of Kazakhstani goods to Tajikistan via trade financing. This initiative not only enables Kazakh producers to penetrate new markets but also facilitates Tajik companies' access to superior quality and competitive products, stated Kuanysh Mukazhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of KazakhExport.

The delegation also met with representatives from various sectors, including Somon Air Airlines, Avesto Group, and the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan.

Somon Air Airlines and Avesto Group have expressed keen interest in procuring Airbus H145 helicopters from Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP, leveraging KazakhExport's support mechanisms such as export trade financing and direct importer financing.

In discussions with TGEM LLC, Tajikistan's foremost company in hydropower and infrastructure construction, ongoing and prospective projects were reviewed alongside the company's requirements for transformers, fittings, rolled sheets, construction equipment, and various other necessities for their initiatives, including international ventures. TGEM LLC seeks financing options for these acquisitions.

Additionally, TALCO Management expressed interest in securing trade finance resources for seamless procurement processes.
