The KazakhExport held a Chess Tournament
The KazakhExport EIC JSC, with the support of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, held a chess tournament among subsidiaries of the Baiterek NMH JSC. The event is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Holding.
Kanat Sharlapaev, a Chairman of the Board of the Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC, noted that playing chess is not about luck. “You can't rely on chance here. You can win at chess only using your intellect. It is chess that develops strategic thinking, it is played by both children and adults. Therefore, I am pleased that this game is popular among the employees of the Holding's group,” said the Head of the Holding.
As part of the tournament, international grandmaster, first vice-president of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, vice-president of the Asian Chess Federation Darmen Sadvakasov held a simultaneous game session. He noted that much attention is paid to the development of chess in Kazakhstan and such tournaments contribute to the popularization of this sport.
In total, 22 participants took part in the tournament, the chief arbiter was Nurlan Ibraev, a National Chess Coach of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Sports and Physical Culture, International Grandmaster.
The winner of the tournament was Yerkanat Musabaev, a representative of the Otbasy Bank JSC, the second place was taken by Renat Medybaev, a representative of the Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, the third was Aldiar Mamirov, an employee of the Bereke Bank JSC.
The winner and prize-winners of the tournament were presented with memorable gifts.
