Enterprises of the Aktobe region targeted foreign markets

Manufacturers of the Aktobe region are increasing the supply of products to Russia, China, Afghanistan and other countries.

One example is the Green Capital Kazakhstan greenhouse, where construction of the second stage of project on 5 hectares for KZT 4.1 billion is being completed. According to Emil Milushev, Chief Financial Officer of the company, they are now waiting to receive the commissioning certificate.

"Production will begin in December 2020, and harvesting - in March 2021 in the amount of 3 thousand tons of tomatoes per year", - said Milushev.

The interlocutor noted that capacity of greenhouse will be 7-7. 2 thousand tons per year due to the first and second stages.

At the same time, it is planned to open the third stage of this project worth about 30 million euros at the end of 2021. Interlocutor explained that then a greenhouse can open for a minimum of 5 hectares, and maximum of 10 hectares.

"The project is being implemented jointly with European investors. Total capacity of the greenhouse for 20 hectares will be 14 thousand tons of tomatoes per year. We export 70-80% mainly to Russia, the remaining share - to Karaganda and Aktobe regions", Milushev noted.

According to him, 6 thousand tons of tomatoes have been collected since the launch of the first stage. Interlocutor added that the project received insurance from "EIC KazakhExport" – subordinate company of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the RK, subsidiary of the Baiterek Holding - for two loans totaling KZT 9 billion, which were issued by Sberbank Kazakhstan, and the national company provided export insurance as well.

In turn, the General Director of Green Capital Kazakhstan Dirk Aleven said that the loans are insured against political and commercial risks for several years.

"We also successfully use such product of KazakhExport as export insurance, which allows us to offer more favorable conditions to our customers and thereby improves the competitiveness of Green Capital Kazakhstan in markets of fresh vegetables in Russia and Kazakhstan", the General Director concluded.

Also, export potential is being increased by Novo-Aljan milling plant, which already supplies its products under the GRANUM brand to China, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Afghanistan.

According to General Director of the company Kaiyrzhan Nauryzgaliyev, they signed contracts for KZT 2.5 billion this year thanks to the KazakhExport company for support programs for manufacturers.

Interlocutor noted that for the moment the milling plant has insured three export contracts for Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for a total of $105 thousand through KazakhExport.

"There was an insured event under one contract, but the national company fulfills all its obligations under signed insurance contract. In general, the support program allows Kazakhstan producers to be the most competitive in export market, recognizable to foreign consumers and increase the geography of coverage. Especially since domestic goods have established themselves as high quality and environmentally friendly products", – summed up Nauryzgaliyev.
