More than 16.8 Billion Tenge: ECA Increases Support for Exporters in Tajikistan
The International Investment Forum Pamir Invest – 2026 took place in Tajikistan, bringing together over 100 participants. Among them were representatives of government agencies, international organizations, financial institutions, as well as investors and entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, and other countries.
Ramesh Khudoyev, Regional Director of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) in Tajikistan, attended the forum. He presented the Agency's financial and insurance support instruments, with a particular focus on trade finance implemented jointly with Kazakhstani and foreign banks.
This mechanism enables foreign buyers to purchase Kazakhstani goods by securing financing on competitive terms. For exporters, this is an excellent opportunity to offer partners flexible payment terms without risking their own liquidity, significantly boosting the competitiveness of domestic products in foreign markets.
Ramesh Khudoyev also emphasized that the Agency provides not only financial support, but also promotes Kazakhstani goods abroad. To streamline communication between businesses in both countries, the portal BUY from Kazakhstan was launched—a unified digital catalog where foreign buyers can directly connect with Kazakhstani manufacturers.
As part of the forum, a meeting was held between the Regional Director of the ECA and the Chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sharifkhon Safarzoda. The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation and supplying food products with the Agency's support.
The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan continues to actively support domestic exporters in the Tajik market. In the first half of 2026 (January–June) alone, the volume of obligations assumed in this direction exceeded 16.8 billion tenge. This year, exports to Tajikistan include flour, deeply processed metal products, confectionery, and unrefined oils and fats.
