ECA Participated in the 22nd Interregional Cooperation Forum
Renat Kaliyev, Regional Director of "Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan" JSC in the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the 22nd Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
As part of the expanded meeting of the Russian-Kazakhstan Business Council, Renat Kaliyev spoke in the panel session titled "Regional Potential: New Formats of Interregional Cooperation."
In his speech, he noted that the further development of the Russian-Kazakhstan economic partnership lies in transitioning from supporting individual foreign trade transactions to implementing joint interregional projects. These projects combine industrial cooperation, financial instruments, transport and logistics solutions, and the potential of both countries' regions.
Special attention was given to the role of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan as a key development institution providing insurance and financial support to Kazakhstani exporters. Specifically, it was highlighted that in 2025, with ECA's support, the volume of insurance support for non-resource exports from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation reached 224 billion KZT, significantly exceeding the 2024 figure (135.3 billion KZT). By the end of the first half of 2026, the volume of assumed insurance liabilities reached 201 billion KZT. Support was provided to enterprises in the agro-industrial complex, food, chemical, light industry, and metallurgical sectors.
In addition, Renat Kaliyev participated in a business match-making session organized within the forum's business program. The platform brought together business representatives from Russia and Kazakhstan to hold working meetings, negotiate, seek new partners, and expand cooperation in industry, construction, engineering, chemicals, agriculture, logistics, and trade.
The participation of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan in the forum provided an opportunity to present state support instruments for Kazakhstani non-resource exports, strengthen engagement with Russian partners, and identify promising areas for new joint projects and further development of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
