ECA strengthens support for exporters of the Akmola Region.

The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) held a working meeting with representatives of export-oriented enterprises of the Akmola Region. The event took place at the venue of the Atameken Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs and was attended by executives of leading companies in the agro-industrial complex, chemical, food and light industries, as well as the construction and metallurgical sectors.

During the meeting, mechanisms to stimulate non-commodity exports aimed at strengthening the positions of domestic producers in foreign markets were discussed. Particular attention was paid to minimizing commercial and political risks in cross-border transactions amid current global volatility.

ECA Regional Manager Allabergen Myrzash presented a comprehensive insurance protection system built on three strategic pillars:

  • Insurance: protection of exporters and financial institutions against the risk of non-payment under foreign trade contracts.
  • Financing: ensuring access to working capital for production expansion and technological modernization.
  • Guarantees: provision of instruments that enhance the investment attractiveness of export projects.

“One of the most востребованных instruments is export credit insurance. It enables domestic companies to supply products on deferred payment terms while maintaining financial stability and competitiveness in global markets,” it was noted during the presentation.

According to preliminary data, by the end of 2025, enterprises of the Akmola Region, with ECA’s support, secured export volumes totaling KZT 7.4 billion. The structure of regional supplies supported by the Agency is dominated by high value-added products, including thermal insulation materials and polymer packaging, vegetable oils and food products, as well as metallurgical and chemical sector goods.

In addition to financial instruments, the Agency continues to provide service support, including free due diligence of foreign counterparties and assistance in establishing direct business contacts with potential partners as part of market diversification efforts.
