A business forum aimed at enhancing trade and economic ties between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was convened in Astana. The forum was held during the official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Kazakhstan.

The forum saw the participation of representatives from the business communities of both countries, alongside officials from government agencies and national corporations.

The event showcased a diverse array of companies spanning sectors such as mechanical engineering, industry, metallurgy, construction, logistics, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, investment, and services.

Within the forum, bilateral negotiations resulted in the signing of several commercial agreements totaling $300 million, encompassing memorandums, export contracts, and investment deals. Key agreements included initiatives supported by the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan:

  • Sergek Group: Engaging in projects aimed at enhancing road safety, optimizing urban infrastructure management, and integrating innovative technologies.
  • TGS-Energy LTD: Undertaking a project to construct solar power plants with a combined capacity of 250 MW in Kyrgyzstan.

Under these agreements, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan plans to provide domestic exporters and Kyrgyz importers with comprehensive support, offering favorable payment terms and preferential financing.
