Armenia aims to boost export of Kazakhstani products

An Armenian-Kazakh business forum convened in Yerevan, featuring the active participation of KazakhExport as part of the business mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia.

Supported by the embassies of Kazakhstan in Armenia and Armenia in Kazakhstan, alongside assistance from the Armenian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event aimed to bolster economic ties and foster collaboration.

A highlight of the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Astana Diplomatic Club and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia. This document aims to strengthen economic relations, expand trade opportunities, and facilitate cooperation in investment, IT, and other areas of mutual interest. The creation of a Kazakh-Armenian Business Club and the organization of joint business events will play a pivotal role in achieving the memorandum's objectives.

Furthermore, the forum facilitated separate negotiations among business representatives from various sectors. During these B2B meetings, Artem Tolstov, a representative of KazakhExport's International Block, presented the company’s support measures for Armenian entrepreneurs, addressing concerns regarding the export of Kazakhstani products to Armenia.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Kazakhstan, over 100 companies with Kazakh capital are registered in Armenia. Notably, bilateral trade between the two nations surged by 23.1% last year, reaching $53 million.

It is worth mentioning that in 2023, exporters supported by KazakhExport supplied products worth 4.4 billion tenge to Armenia.
