The export of Kazakh products to Tajikistan amounted to $800.3 million
On April 12, 2022, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev met with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Khairulla Ibodzoda.
Thus, it is noted that the growth of commodity turnover by the end of 2021 by 46.9% compared to 2020 (from $800.3 million to $ 1.2 billion)
"Kazakhstan sets the task of expanding the range of goods supplied. In this connection, I propose to jointly work out the issue of supplies of 60 commodity items, for which Kazakhstani enterprises can increase exports in the amount of $ 138.4 million," Kairat Torebayev said.
The Kazakh side also noted the positive experience of using financial mechanisms of "KazakhExport" and proposed to expand the scope of these instruments.
In addition, the parties agreed to continue the practice of conducting trade and economic missions.
It was noted that an effective regulatory framework has been formed between the countries for trade within the framework of the CIS Free Trade Zone Agreement, an Intergovernmental Kazakh-Tajik Commission operates, on the site of which the consideration of topical and problematic issues of business circles is initiated on a permanent basis, as well as measures to increase trade turnover and expand the range of goods supplied are discussed.
The parties agreed to begin preparations for the next meeting of the IPC in the second half of 2022 in Kazakhstan.Also during the negotiations, the parties discussed a draft Roadmap to increase trade turnover for 2022-23 in order to further sign it within the framework of the Igc.
