The head of state received the chairman of the board of the Baiterek holding company, Rustam Karagoishin.
The President was presented with a report on the implementation of his instructions and key areas for the holding's further development.
The head of state was informed that the investment and loan portfolios had reached 14.3 trillion tenge, with a forecast to grow to 16.5 trillion tenge, while net profit remained at over 400 billion tenge annually.
By the end of 2025, thanks to the holding's support, 77,500 families were provided with housing, including 11,600 on the waiting list.
Last year, 77 major projects and 27,400 small and medium-sized business projects were financed, 131 exporters were supported, and 11,400 units of agricultural machinery were leased to 7,200 agricultural producers for spring field work.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the ongoing transformation and the new long-term development strategy of Baiterek. The project envisages a transition to a proactive investment holding model focused on effective asset management, creating conditions for strong businesses, and improving the quality of life for the population.
The President was also briefed on the implementation of a number of investment projects. By the end of this year, 26 projects aimed at import substitution, export development, and infrastructure development are planned to be submitted to the Investment Council for consideration.
Following the meeting, the Head of State emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable economic growth and attracting long-term investment, instructed to strengthen support for SMEs, and placed particular emphasis on improving housing affordability.
