In the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, the largest specialized exhibition, Kazan Agro 2026, has successfully concluded. The large-scale industry event brought together more than 300 leading companies and over 12,500 delegates representing industrial cooperation across the Eurasian Economic area.

Renat Kaliyev, Regional Director of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) in the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the forum. On the sidelines of the exhibition, he held a series of substantive meetings with prospective buyers of Kazakhstani goods and services. During these discussions, he presented in-demand insurance and financial support instruments offered by the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan aimed at securing export contracts while mitigating commercial and political risks, as well as enhancing the efficiency of foreign trade operations.

Particular attention during the negotiations was given to practical case studies and cross-sector synergies between the industries of the two countries. The Tatarstan industrial cluster expressed strong interest in establishing long-term partnerships.

As a result of the bilateral meetings, preliminary agreements were reached to establish regular supplies of value-added processed products from Kazakhstan. Specifically, the parties are considering the possibility of monthly imports of Kazakhstan polypropylene rolls (fabric sheets). This product will serve as base raw material for Tatarstan’s production facilities manufacturing flexible industrial packaging, including big bags (FIBCs) and woven sacks, thereby helping build a sustainable value chain.

It is worth noting that, with the support of the ECA, deliveries of Kazakhstan confectionery products, agricultural machinery, metal products, flour and grain-processing goods, and other high-demand industrial products are already underway in Tatarstan.
