Kazakh Manufacturers Showcase Export Potential at "Prodexpo-2026" International Exhibition

In Moscow, one of the largest industry events in the Eurasian space took place – the international exhibition of food products, beverages, and raw materials for their production, Prodexpo-2026. This year, the event brought together about 2,000 companies from 35 countries, becoming a crucial hub for cross-border contracts and analysis of current consumer trends.

As part of the national strategy to develop non-resource exports, more than 30 leading Kazakh manufacturers presented their products to a wide range of international distributors. A significant number of participants were companies that received comprehensive insurance and financial support through the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA). Among the exhibitors were the flagships of the food and processing industries: Bayan Sulu JSC, Almatinsky Product LLP, PRIMA KUS LLP, Bread and Dairy Plant No.1 LLP, Araltuz JSC, Tsin-Kaz LLP, Sayram Nan LLP, Kemmi GROUP LLP, Pure Pack LLP, and RG Brands JSC.

The business program of the visit focused on institutional support for export operations. The Regional Director of ECA in the Russian Federation, Vasily Alpatov, held a series of B2B meetings aimed at building sustainable trade chains and providing institutional support for long-term partnerships between Kazakh manufacturers and key players in the Russian market.

Foreign partners paid particular attention to the Agency’s tools designed for effective risk management and the provision of insurance guarantees for export contracts:

  • Advance Payment Insurance: This mechanism protects the importer when fulfilling obligations on a prepayment basis. If the Kazakh supplier fails to meet the contract terms and does not return the advance, the ECA guarantees compensation for losses to the overseas buyer. This is a critical tool for enhancing the competitiveness of domestic companies, allowing them to work on advance payment terms without risk to their partner.
  • Export Trade Financing: The implementation of a buyer financing model through a letter of credit payment system. Under this scheme, foreign companies gain access to liquidity through partner banks to purchase Kazakh goods, effectively stimulating demand for high value-added products.

The Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan continues its systematic work to scale government support measures aimed at stimulating the non-resource expansion of domestic producers. To date, the Agency’s toolkit includes more than 20 specialized products, tailored to the dynamically changing conditions of the global market and the specific needs of the business community.

As part of the implementation of the Head of State’s orders on the digital transformation of the economy, the ECA has fully transitioned the client journey to a digital format. The Exporter's Personal Account functionality enables the following via a "one-stop" system:

  • Remote submission of applications and document verification;

  • Coordination of insurance coverage terms and signing contracts via digital signatures (ECP);

  • Real-time monitoring of project status.

The integration of the platform with government information systems has minimized bureaucratic barriers and significantly reduced the time taken to make underwriting decisions. These measures are critically important for small and medium-sized enterprises, allowing them to quickly address working capital shortages and ensure uninterrupted execution of export contracts.
