President hosts meeting with Baiterek Holding's leader, Rustam Karagoishin
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a comprehensive briefing on Baiterek Holding's 2023 performance and its strategic plans for the current year.
According to Rustam Karagoishin's report, the holding's substantial contribution to business support totaled approximately 2.5 trillion tenge. Looking ahead, Baiterek Holding aims to prioritize financing key sectors crucial for robust and sustainable economic growth, particularly focusing on agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, transport, logistics, and housing construction.
In addition, the President was briefed on initiatives to support competitive entrepreneurs. A key objective is to increase funding for small, medium-sized, and large-scale businesses across all regions of Kazakhstan. Specifically addressing SMEs, proactive assistance is planned for entrepreneurs in small, single-industry towns, and rural areas.
The President underscored the significance of intensifying efforts in these vital areas, highlighting that the diligent execution of these objectives will yield substantial advancements in strengthening the economy and enhancing the welfare of Kazakhstan's citizens.
