Baiterek extends its cooperation with the European companies: Yerbolat Dosayev held a number of important meetings in Belgium and Italy
Chairman of the Board of NMH "Baiterek" JSC Erbolat Dosayev made a business trip to Belgium and Italy; within its framework he held a number of business meetings with the management of major financial institutions and companies on cooperation matters.
In Brussels, the head of the Holding met with the Director General of AWEX, Chantal De Bleu, and Dirk Tvedvedyu, the General Director and Chairman of the Credendo Group's Executive Committee.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of export promotion and investment attraction, as well as the creation of a joint platform of “KazakhExport” EIC JSC (a subsidiary of the Holding Company) and AWEX in order to support the promotion of foreign trade and attract foreign investment. During the talks, Yerbolat Dosayev noted that KazakhExport has expanded the range of mechanisms to support exports. Among them is the provision of state guarantees, subsidizing interest rates on export financing and integration with mechanisms to support other subsidiaries of the Holding. In turn, the Belgian side expressed interest in the possible implementation of the discussed initiatives.
In addition, the issue of cooperation in the field of project activities was considered by the subsidiary organization of the Holding, Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund LLP. Speaking about its capabilities, Yerbolat Dosayev emphasized that "the Fund finances the development of projects before prior to their financing based on "contingency fee" while sharing the risks of the project with potential investors and borrowers." The Belgian side noted the willingness of joint work for searching and co-financing such potential projects.
At the meeting with Dirk Terevedyu, the Director General and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Credendo Group, Erbolat Dosayev discussed the issues of creating a single mechanism for supporting and promoting foreign trade and attracting foreign investments. The Belgian side noted the importance of obtaining detailed information.
In Rome, Erbolat Dosayev held talks with the general and financial directors of Cassa Depositi e prestiti Group, Fabio Gallia, and Antonella Baldino, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simest, Salvatore Rebecchini and SACE Managing Director, Teresa Saponara, managing director of international affairs Confindustria, Camilla Chionini Wizani, and director of the Coordinating Office for the promotion of ICE, Giovanni Sacci.
With the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simest, Salvatore Rebecchini, and the managing director of SACE, Teresa Saponara, they discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of mutual trade and joint promotion of exports to neighboring markets. The Italian side expressed interest in developing mechanisms for promoting Italian business interests and attracting long-term investments in the region.
In addition, the cooperation of Baiterek Holding with SACE company and Simest company was examined, in particular, in terms of attracting long-term investments in infrastructure and industrial projects. The Kazakhstani side proposed to consider the possibility of deepening the cooperation of Italian companies with the Holding's subsidiaries – Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund LLP and Kazyna Capital Management JSC.
At a meeting with the managing director for international affairs Confindustria, Camilla Chionini Vizani, Erbolat Dosayev discussed the possibility of organizing joint events within the framework of EXPO-2017.
During the meeting with Giovanni Sacci, Director of the Coordinating Office for the Promotion of ICE, the head of the Holding discussed the prospects for Kazakhstani-Italian cooperation.
