The Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” has been excluded from the list of privatization targets
The subsidiary organization of the National Managing Holding Company “Baiterek” JSC the Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” (hereinafter – “KazakhExport”) has been excluded from the list of the major subsidiary related organizations of national managing holding companies and other legal entities that are affiliated with them, offered for transfer to a competitive environment in priority order.
Amendments were made by the Republic of Kazakhstan Government Regulation No. 467 dated August 03, 2017 “On Amendments to the Republic of Kazakhstan Government Regulation No. 1141 of December 30, 2015 “On Some Issues of Privatization for 2016-2020”.
On 10 March 2017, KazakhExport was put on the official list of the existing national companies by the Republic of Kazakhstan Government Regulation No. 112. In April of 2017, the State Commission for Modernization of the Republic of Kazakhstan Economy agreed upon exclusion of KazakhExport from the list of privatization targets and authorized the Ministry of Investment and Development to legislatively take measures, together with the National Managing Holding Company “Baiterek”, on the exclusion of the national operator for export promotion from the list of facilities proposed for transfer to a competitive environment.
In accordance with the President’s Message to the people of Kazakhstan dated 31 January 2017, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan faces the task of activating work to increase Kazakhstan non-primary exports. One of the strategic directions of the National Managing Holding Companies “Baiterek” is to increase the export potential of the producers of Kazakhstan goods. The activities of KazakhExport are aimed at creating adequate mechanisms to support the entrance of Kazakhstan manufacturing products to foreign markets.
The Export Insurance Company “KazakhExport” JSC is a subsidiary of the National Managing Holding Company “Baiterek” JSC.
