The ICIEC and JSC IC «KazakhExport» signed an agreement on the support of export in Kazakhstan
According to the agreements between the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies RoK Asset Issekeshev and the President of the Islamic Development Bank Mohamed Ali, a cooperation agreement was signed on May 23, 2013 in Astana between the Islamic Company for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank and the Export Credit Agency «KazakhExport» Export insurance company» joint-stock company.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohamed Azam - Head of the Underwriting Department of the ICIEC and Yerkin Sadykov - Chairman of the Management Board of «KazakhExport» Export insurance company» joint-stock company.
According to the document of «KazakhExport» Export insurance company» joint-stock company, in addition to technical assistance, credit insurance and reinsurance will be provided.
As Mr. Azam noted, “signing of this agreement falls within the scope of the ICIEC’s mandate on the support for development of its member countries through the provision of export credits and insurance against political risks for investment projects”.
In turn, Ye. Sadykov said that the Agreement is an important milestone on the way to promote the export of Kazakhstani goods and services, particularly in the non-primary sector. This will further enhance the capacity of «KazakhExport» Export insurance company» joint-stock company, providing credit insurance
