On April 3, «KazakhExport», the subsidiary of the Holding Company “Baiterek”, took part in the work of the First Conference of entrepreneurs of Almaty City
The First Conference of entrepreneurs was held in Almaty. The Forum was attended by the Chairman of the Management Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ablay Myrzakhmetov, the Akim of the city Akhmetzhan Yessimov, the heads of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the city, more than 500 business representatives, heads of industry associations, and governmental authorities.
As was pointed out by the Chairman of the Management Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Ablay Myrzakhmetov, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs is the representative of the interests of business and a full-fledged partner of governmental authorities and the Government. The Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov, in turn, emphasized the significance of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the city for further development of the megalopolis as the core of business environment, recalling the proposal of the head of state about positioning Almaty as a financial centre of the Eurasian Economic Union.
In addition, 8 memoranda of mutual cooperation with government agencies and institutions of higher education were signed during six months of work. The Board for the entrepreneurs’ rights protection, and working group on the elaboration of proposals for reducing the administrative barriers and optimizing the licensing procedures were established.
The first Conference of entrepreneurs of Almaty ended with the adoption of Resolution consisting of 18 items proposed by the participants of the forum to improve the business climate of the southern capital.
Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan, where 46% of the wholesale turnover, 21% of the external and 27% of retail trade turnover is provided across the republic. Several dozens of companies are engaged in the field of foreign economic activity and sell Kazakhstani products to foreign markets with the financial and insurance support of «KazakhExport» Export insurance company» joint-stock company. The products of our engineering industry, confectionery, chemical industry, and construction materials are also in good demand in the neighbouring countries.
